How to Blur in Figma
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to apply a blur effect to elements within Figma. Follow these steps carefully to achieve the desired blur effect on your design elements.
Select the Object โ Click on the shape, image, or layer you want to blur.
Go to the Right Panel โ In the right-hand properties panel, scroll to the โEffectsโ section.
Click the โ+โ Icon Next to Effects โ This will add a default effect (usually drop shadow).
Change the Effect Type โ Click the dropdown where it says โDrop Shadowโ and choose โBackground Blurโ or โLayer Blurโ:
๐น Background Blur blurs anything behind the object.
๐น Layer Blur blurs the object itself.
Adjust Blur Intensity โ Use the slider or type a value to control how strong the blur is.
Done โ Your element now has a blur effect!
