How to Change Your
Name in Zoom
Follow these simple steps to change your display name in Zoom. This guide will walk you through the process step-by-step to ensure your new name is updated successfully.
Open Zoom App or Website – Launch the Zoom desktop/mobile app or go to zoom.us and sign in to your account.
Go to “Profile” Settings – On the Zoom website, click “My Account” in the top-right corner, then go to the “Profile” tab.
Click “Edit” Next to Your Name – In the Profile section, you’ll see your current name. Click the “Edit” button next to it.
Enter New Name – Type your First Name and Last Name as you want them to appear in meetings.
Save Changes – Scroll down and click the “Save” button to apply the new name.
Change Name During a Meeting (Optional) – In an ongoing meeting, click “Participants” → hover over your name → More → Rename.
Type the New Name in Popup – Enter the name you want temporarily for that meeting and click “Rename.”
Done! – Your name will now appear updated in the participant list and on your video tile.
