How to Share Screen on Zoom
This guide will walk you through the steps to share your screen during a Zoom meeting. Follow these instructions to easily share your screen with other participants.
Join or Start a Zoom Meeting – Open the Zoom app or web version and join or host a meeting where you want to share your screen.
Click the “Share Screen” Button – On the bottom toolbar, tap/click the green “Share Screen” button.
Choose What to Share – A window will pop up showing all your open applications and screens. You can share:
Entire screen
Specific window (like Chrome, PowerPoint)
Whiteboard
iPhone/iPad via AirPlay or cable
Click “Share” – After selecting what to share, click the “Share” button in the bottom right of that pop-up.
Sharing Starts Immediately – Other participants will now see the screen or window you selected. A green border appears around the shared area.
Use Toolbar While Sharing – A mini toolbar appears at the top with options like:
Pause Share
Annotate
Stop Share
On Mobile (Android/iOS):
Tap “Share” > “Screen”
Follow prompts to allow screen broadcasting
Tap “Start Now” or “Start Broadcast”
Stop Sharing – Click “Stop Share” at the top of the screen to end screen sharing.
